On April 28, 1998, Myrna Driedger was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba as the first female to represent the constituency of Charleswood.
A notice was posted on the Province of Manitoba’s website that states that “due to budgetary constraints Green Team applications in 2013 will be limited to organizations that operated Green Team projects in 2012.”
In 2011, I was a participant in Forum for Young Canadians in Ottawa. It was a great experience that gave me a better understanding of the national decision-making process in Canada.

On October 17th, the emergency room at the Vita & District Health Centre closed. Two months later and there is still no commitment from this NDP government as to when it may re-open.
Municipal politics, anyone? I think it’s important for young people to take interest in their communities and to be engaged in the issues on all levels of government.
