Many items have exchanged hands thanks to the great local buyers and sellers that make this a regular stop during their weeks. With that said, please keep the following in mind when using this site or any other online classifieds.
We strongly advise you to meet the person you are buying from or selling to in person prior to exchanging funds. There are numerous scams on the internet where less than honourable people try to take advantage of both sides of the equation.
We also strongly advising only buying from local people. As the classifieds are considered local, it should be seen as an instant red flag if someone from out of our local area is attempting to make a purchase. We do our best to screen all incoming ads to ensure localness but unfortunately cannot make any guarantees.
Regarding product or service quality, as is the case when buying any used items we highly recommend thoroughly verifying the quality of your purchase prior to exchanging money. mySteinbach.ca assumes no responsibility for any products or services exchanged.

The Dreaded Spam
Even though mySteinbach.ca uses some of the toughest spam filters in the classifieds, we can't stop someone from contacting you. If you get an email that looks suspicious, it probably is, just delete it and don't respond to it.
Spam Example:
Hello i am interested in the purchase of this item.But before any thing i will like to ask you the Following question. 1,wht is the final asking price for this item. 2,wht is the condition of this item. 3,can you allow our private shipping company to come for the pick up of this item. 4,will you accept a check or money order as a mode of payment. 5,Will you be able to send money to the shipping company that will be coming for the pick up of this item....Cos the payment that will be sent to you will include the money for the sales of your item and the shipping charges.You are to cash the check,Deduct the money for the sales of your item and then send the money left to the shipping company so that they can come for the pick up of this item. If this is understood,i will like you to get back to me with the name and address you want payment to be address to ............. Name: Address: City: State: Zip Code: Country: Phone #: Email address:
The great thing is that even though you get an email with spam on it, the spammer has no access to your email account.
