At approximately 1pm on December 3, 2016,  Arborg and Gimli RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a school bus from the Frontier School Division.

Initial police investigation determined that the bus was traveling North on PR 234, approximately 2 kilometres south of Pine Dock, when it slid off the road and rolled onto its side. The bus was carrying 25 students, ages 12 to 15, along with three adults.

Police say that one of the adults and one of students were transported to hospital by air ambulance with non life threatening injuries. Both are reported to be in stable condition. All other  students were transported to hospital by ground ambulance or private motor vehicles as a precautionary measure.

RCMP report that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this incident.
