RCMP investigate ATV collision

On June 28, 2012, at 8:45pm, Carberry RCMP were notified that a 4 wheel ATV rollover had just occurred in the Town of Carberry.

Police discovered that the operator of the 4 wheel ATV, a 30-year-old Brandon man, was at the Carberry hospital for treatment. The ATV operator was kept in hospital overnight for treatment and released the following morning.

Police say that the operator was not wearing a helmet at the time and that alcohol played a factor in this crash.

RCMP have charged the driver with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusing lawful blood demand as well as driving while disqualified under the criminal code. His first court appearance is August 13, 2012, in Brandon Provincial court.

No one else was involved or injured in the incident. This incident remains under investigation.
