Human remains found near Selkirk
On July 21, 2012, at about 6:30pm, Selkirk RCMP were dispatched to a report of found human remains in a rural location north of Selkirk.
Selkirk RCMP with the assistance of RCMP Major Crimes services, RCMP Forensic Identification Unit, and RCMP Search and Rescue Team continue to investigate.
Police say that an autopsy will be conducted.

An autopsy was conducted in Winnipeg on July 24, 2012, and the body has been positively identified as being 25-year-old Corey Donald Williams of Hollow Water. Corey Williams had been reported missing to the Powerview Detachment on January 12, 2012.
At this juncture of the ongoing investigation, the death is being treated as suspicious.
