Rollover near Falcon Lake

On August 11, 2012, shortly after 3pm, Falcon Beach RCMP Detachment and local area EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 1, about 3 km west of Falcon Lake.

RCMP and EMS arrived on scene. Police say that the driver and sole occupant of a pick-up, a 29-year-old Thunder Bay woman, was taken to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in critical but stable condition.

RCMP learned that pick-up was heading east on Highway 1 when the driver lost control of the truck and rolled. The driver was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision and alcohol is not considered a factor.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
