Missing: Sonya Sumner

Stonewall RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 15-year-old Sonya Sumner of the RM of Woodlands.

Sumner is described as an Aboriginal female, 5’7″ tall, 175 lbs, black hair, brown eyes. She was last seen hitch hiking on Highway 6 on August 26, 2012 at 5:15pm. It is suspected she was heading to Winnipeg. Sumner was last seen wearing a green tank top with black pants carrying a Adidas bag.

Police say that Sonya Sumner is considered a youth at-risk. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Stonewall RCMP at 204-467-5591.

RCMP report that Sonya Sumner has been located safe and sound in Winnipeg by WPS.
