Cattle truck rollover near Brandon

Cattle truck rollover

Brandon RCMP as well as local emergency services responded to the scene of a cattle truck rollover on road 103 west, approximately 14 km south east of Brandon in the RM of Cornwallis. The collision was reported just after 12pm noon.

Initial investigation indicates that a semi-trailer hauling cattle was traveling north on road 103 when it moved to the side of the road to make way for an approaching vehicle. The semi-trailer went off the edge of the road and into the ditch, turning onto its side.

Police say that the male driver was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The truck was reported to be hauling approximately 64 head of cattle. Their condition is not known at this time.

Police continue to investigate.
