Thompson man faces drug related charges
A Thompson man is facing drug related charges after police seized an amount of drugs and cash this past week in Thompson.
On September 10th, 2012 at approximately 6pm, Thompson RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant in the Westwood area in the City of Thompson, Manitoba.
During the course of the investigation, police seized over a pound of marihuana, a pound of psilocybin (magic mushrooms), and approximately $5,000 cash. The street value of the drug seizure is estimated at over $5,000.
43-year-old Gregory Frank Dick of Thompson, has been charged with possession of marijuana and psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking as well as possession of proceeds of crime. Dick has been released from police custody and will be appearing in Thompson Provincial Court at a later date.
