Fire at Pro-Fab Industries near Arborg

On September 28, 2012, just before 9am, Arborg RCMP Detachment along with the Arborg, Fisher Branch and Riverton Fire Departments, responded to an industrial fire at Pro-Fab Industries near Arborg in the RM of Bifrost.

RCMP arrived on scene and observed thick heavy smoke coming from the structure as fire fighters were dealing with the fire. About 35-40 employees had been evacuated from the business.

The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner will be investigating the cause in collaboration with the RCMP. Damage estimates are not available, though, fire and smoke damages are considered extensive.

Police say that there are no reports of injuries at the present time.
