RCMP investigate suspicious animal deaths

On October 14, 2012, Treherne RCMP received a report of 3 deceased cows that were located at a land location north of the town of Treherne in the Rural Municipality of South Norfolk.

Subsequent investigation revealed that the death of the cows is suspicious. The Treherne RCMP, along with the assistance of the Provincial Vet, continue to investigate.

Anyone with information about this incident are asked to contact the Treherne RCMP at 204-723-2024 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

Update – An autopsy was conducted on the animals and based on findings to date, the cause of death of the animals is not being attributed to animal cruelty.
