Steinbach business men, Bob and Justin Schinkel, have opened the doors to the Quality Inn, located in Winkler, Manitoba.

Quality Inn has opened its doors in Winkler, and with top-notch amenities and a downtown location it’s perfect for both the leisure and business traveller alike. The newly-opened property, located at 851 Main Street, was previously the Heartland Inn before undergoing a conversion.

The Quality Inn, which is a member of the Choice Hotels collection of properties, underwent extensive conversions, including renovations to the on-site restaurant, furniture and lobby upgrades and the addition of a patio to the lounge.

“We couldn’t be happier about opening in Winkler,” says Joan Enns, hotel manager, Quality Inn. “We’ve got a great location in the centre of the community and are confident this hotel will meet the needs of all of our guests.”

Centrally-located in Winkler, the hotel is equipped with 40 guest rooms and is close to many popular attractions in the Manitoba area, including Winkler Arena, Pembina Threshermen’s Museum, the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre and Lake Minnewasta. The Quality Inn is less than a two hour drive to bustling Winnipeg.

If you’re looking for a nearby meal, breakfast is served all day at the on-site Country Kitchen and lunch and dinner entrees are also available. There is a late night lounge for guests to unwind and relax and for pet-lovers Fido is welcome to stay for a small fee.

Free amenities include wireless high-speed Internet access, daily newspaper and coffee. For business travellers there are three meeting rooms that can accommodate groups of up to 300 for banquets and conferences. Other featured amenities include an indoor heated pool with whirlpool and steam room, exercise room and guest laundry. All rooms feature a flat-screen television with cable, coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave and more.
