RCMP seize cocaine

On November 14, 2012, Thompson General Investigation Section, with the assistance of Thompson Drug Section and Thompson Police Dog Services, seized approximately 12 oz. of powder cocaine in Thompson.

RCMP report that an investigation leading officers to a traffic stop on Mystery Lake Road in the City of Thompson, resulted in the seizure of the cocaine.

45-year-old Salvatore Gibilaro of Winnipeg has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and breaching his undertaking. Gibilaro has been remanded into custody to appear in Thompson Court.

34-year-old Kimberley Moneyas of Winnipeg has also been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. She has been released on a promise to appear in Thompson Court.

Police say that the street value of the cocaine seized is approximately $25,000.
