Steinbach Annual Winter Carnival this Saturday
On Saturday, January 26, the City of Steinbach will be hosting its 11th Annual Winter Carnival at Steinbach’s L.A. Barkman Park from 10am to 4pm.
The change in venue for this year’s carnival allowed for a new feature – the Manitoba Mini Sled Racers (MMSRA). Kids, ages 4-14, will be racing around an oval ice track. Abe’s Hill will also be open for tobogganing as usual.
“We’re planning another great event this year,” said Parks and Rec Program, Jason Peters. “Our staff always does a fantastic job preparing the park.” Staff will be out today clearing snow and adding some more water to the ice track.
Bundle up and bring your family and friends for a fantastic day of mini-sled racing, tobogganing and all around winter fun! Food vendors will also be onsite.
The Winter Carnival is put on by the City of Steinbach for both Steinbach and residents of the surrounding area.
