Fatal cabin fire on Rocky Lake

On February 4, 2013, at about 4:30am, The Pas RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to a residential fire at a cabin on Rocky Lake in the RM of Kelsey.

On arrival, police discovered the residence to be fully engulfed in flames.

Police say that a body was discovered in the burnt out residence. An autopsy will be required to confirm the identity of the deceased.

The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner will be attending to assist with the investigation.
