On August 27, 2014, just after 6:30pm, officers from the Dauphin RCMP were advised of a fight in progress on 2nd Avenue S.W. in Dauphin.
Police say that an officer attended immediately and observed three males walking down the street. One of them was noted to be bleeding. The male was transported to local hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was later identified by police as a suspect in the assault and was arrested.
A second male was found by the RCMP on the ground in a nearby parking lot. He also had injuries and was transported to hospital.
RCMP report that a second suspect was arrested in Dauphin later that evening. 19-year-old Brandon Alexander Genaille and Russell Daniel Genaille, 24, of Dauphin, have each been charged with aggravated assault and have been remanded in custody to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court.
