On September 18, 2014, at approximately 3am, Dauphin RCMP received a report of a fire at the Towers Hotel located on Main Street, in Dauphin, Manitoba.

Police say that the fire was found to be well-involved. The building was evacuated with no injuries currently reported. Approximately 25 permanent tenants of the hotel will be displaced as a result of the fire. The building is expected to be a total loss.
RCMP report that one male is currently in custody while the investigation continues. The Office of the Fire Commissioner is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
