On November 20, 2014, Carman and Headingley RCMP responded to a four-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 2 and Provincial Road 248.

Initial police investigation shows a southbound pickup truck entered the intersection and collided with an eastbound semi truck. The southbound pickup was then struck by a westbound pickup truck and then struck again by an eastbound pickup truck.

RCMP report that the 52-year-old male driver of the southbound pickup truck, from Hadashville, was transported to hospital with serious injuries. His passenger was uninjured. The occupants of the other vehicles involved in the collision were uninjured.

Police say that road conditions and alcohol are not considered factors in this incident and it is unknown at this time if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
