On November 24, 2014, shortly after 12pm, Flin Flon RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle close to the Ruth Betts Elementary School, near the Fourth Avenue bridge in Flin Flon, Manitoba.

Police say that a male suspect driving a white van approached an 11-year-old girl walking home for lunch and asked if she wanted a ride. The girl refused and the male drove away without any further incident.

The male is described as Caucasian, approximately 40 years of age with curly brown hair. The van is described as being an old white passenger van with rust on the back. It is also believed that there is some type of numbering above the back tire on the passenger side. The licence plate is unknown.
