On February 28, 2015, at approximately 1:15am, a Dauphin RCMP officer patrolling in Ethelbert, observed a vehicle being driven very slowly up and down the streets.

Police say that when the officer attempted to stop the vehicle it increased its speed and slid into a snow bank. The suspect then drove out of the snow bank, ramming into the front end of the police car, before continuing down a groomed snowmobile trail. The vehicle returned to the road and was followed a short distance until the driver lost control and hit the ditch. The driver then fled on foot and was arrested moments later.

RCMP report that Bryan James Munro, 30, of Ethelbert, has been charged with a number of criminal offences including impaired driving, flight from police and refusing to provide a breath sample. He is scheduled to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court.
