On April 6, 2015, the Provencher Conservative Riding Association held its Annual General Meeting at Smitty’s banquet room in Steinbach.

President Amos Wiebe gave a report on the events over the past year including the Annual Fall Fundraising Banquet which featured Ezra Levant as the guest speaker.

Ted Falk, the Member of Parliament for Provencher, spoke to the crowd about his work in Ottawa and around the riding. He touched on issues such as:

  • The economy and jobs
  • The Family Tax Cut
  • Canada’s extended mission to combat ISIL
  • Bill C-51
  • Stiffer penalties for criminals as well as enhanced rights for victims of crime
  • Support for seniors

MP Falk gave a first-hand account of the events of October 22nd when shooting erupted in Centre Block on Parliament Hill. He also recounted his experience during last summer’s trip to Israel where he was forced to take cover on several occasions as rockets flew overhead.

Mr. Falk assured everyone that the Conservative Government would continue to provide strong leadership, not only here at home, but around the world as well.

The Member of Parliament finished off the evening by thanking everyone in attendance for their continuing commitment to the Conservative Party, and to the Conservative cause in Provencher.

He also reminded everyone that a federal election is just around the corner and stated that the Provencher Conservative Association is in excellent shape with the campaign team ready to go as soon as a federal election is called.
