On April 27, 2015, just after 7pm, Powerview RCMP received a report of a male in a truck attempting to abduct a nine-year-old girl riding her bike in front of her home.

Police say that at approximately 6:45pm, a male, driving a black truck, approached the young girl, asked if her parents were home and offered her candies. When she refused, the male threatened her by saying that something bad would happen to her family if she did not get in the truck with him. The girl fled on her bike and was able to make it to her residence. The suspect drove away.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his 30’s, has a medium build and is approximately 5’8″ tall. He has short brown hair, was clean shaven and appeared to have a scar on the right side of his face. He wore a black long sleeve shirt, round dark-coloured sunglasses and a silver ring on his left ring finger.
