The City of Steinbach invites the public to a full day of celebration activities on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1st, with free admission for all events.

Family fun activities start at the Mennonite Heritage Village (open 10am to 6pm) with an official flag raising ceremony at 1pm, as well as guided tours, horse drawn wagon rides and family entertainment throughout the afternoon. Families are then encouraged to go to the Steinbach Soccer Park and pick their spot for the evening celebration activities. Evening activities include music by DJ Brenton starting at 8pm with free Canada Day souvenirs and cupcakes being distributed starting at 9pm. The big fireworks finale will take place at about 10:45pm.

The City notes that Prime viewing locations for the fireworks will be in the Soccer Park, Southland Church parking lot, L.A. Barkman Park (Abes Hill) and along McKenzie Avenue and Bush Farm Road.
