Leaf Rapids RCMP Detachment are investigating the death of a 28-year-old male resident of South Indian Lake. The victim was found deceased near the South Indian Lake on July 23, 2015, after being reported missing the day prior.
RCMP report that 18-year-old Vernon Robert Baker has been charged with manslaughter and was remanded in custody. RCMP Winnipeg and Thompson Major Crime Units as well as Forensic Identification Services are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
