On April 28, 2016, around 6:40pm, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP received a report of a pedestrian that had been hit by a vehicle on Main Street in Dauphin, Manitoba.

Investigators attended the scene in the 100 block of Main Street South. Police learned that a group of three girls had been crossing the street when one of them was struck by a northbound blue van. The driver of the van did not stop at the scene.

RCMP report that the girl was taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries.
