Richard Racicot found deceased
RCMP Stonewall Detachment continued their efforts to locate Richard Racicot of Stonewall where he was last seen in the community of Stony Mountain.
With the assistance of the RCMP Search and Rescue Team and the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner and about 50 volunteers, Richard Racicot was found deceased, shortly before 2 pm on February 16, 2010, on private property on the east side of Stony Mountain.
The owner of the property, like many other volunteers, was searching his property, when he found Richard Racicot.
At present, the investigation continues. A post mortem is being scheduled at the Health Sciences Centre in the coming days.
The Racicot family has asked that members of the media do not contact them and respect their privacy during this difficult time.
