Second arrest made in McKay murder investigation

A second arrest has been made in connection with the murder of Sheldon Anthony McKay, which occurred in Stony Mountain Institution on May 2, 2006.

32-year-old Jeffrey Lyle Bruyere has been charged with first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Bruyere was arrested Thursday, April 22, 2010, while on remand at Milner Ridge for charges of assault with weapon, instruct criminal offence, trafficking in a controlled substance and participating in a criminal organization.

Bruyere was in custody with McKay in Stony Mountain Institution at the time of the murder.
