Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip to visit Manitoba

Premier Greg Selinger today announced the news that the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will visit Winnipeg on Saturday, July 3, 2010.

“On behalf of all Manitobans, I will be delighted to welcome the Queen back to our province,” said Selinger. “Manitobans have a long, proud and very positive relationship with the Royal Family and we are very pleased that Her Majesty has decided to include Manitoba in her next visit to Canada.”

The Queen and Prince Philip last visited Manitoba in 2002. They will also visit the provinces of Ontario and Nova Scotia as part of their upcoming Canadian tour.
