Drug bust in the RM of Rockwood
On July 9, 2010, at 11:15am, Teulon RCMP members executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a rural property on Rd 14E, south of PR 229 in the RM of Rockwood, MB.
Police discovered an indoor marijuana grow operation within the residence and in a large quonset on the property. A total of 590 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were seized with an estimated street value of $590,000.
A 31-year-old Asian male was arrested on scene and is facing charges of production of marijuana, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana over 3 Kg.
This is the second time police have successfully executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant on this same property. In 2005, Teulon RCMP seized 400 marijuana plants from this location.
