Cross Lake RCMP investigate fatal hit and run
On July 24, 2010, at approximately 4:30am, Cross Lake RCMP, as well as local EMS were dispatched to the scene of a fatal hit and run.
Investigation revealed that a 22-year-old male from Cross lake had been on the road near the Island Park area of Cross Lake when he was struck by a vehicle. Efforts to resuscitate the injured man were unsuccessful and he succumbed to his injuries.
An RCMP Traffic Analyst attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin. There were no other injuries or damages reported.
Police continue to investigate.
