Head-on collision sends three to hospital
On July 27, 2010, at about 7pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP as well as local fire and ambulance were dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle head-on collision on PR 313 that occurred on the bridge over the Winnipeg River.
Investigation revealed that a 2010 Chevrolet pick-up truck had collided head-on with a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier while crossing the Winnipeg River bridge.
The driver of the pick-up truck, a 66-year-old man from Winnipeg, as well as the 21-year-old female driver of the Cavalier and her adult female passenger were transported to hospital with undetermined, non life threatening injuries.
There were no other persons or vehicles involved and alcohol is not considered a factor at this time.
The investigation continues.
