Drug bust near Anola
Oakbank RCMP have made two arrests in connection with a drug seizure incident in the RM of Springfield earlier last week.
On August 24, 2010, at about 11am, Oakbank RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the RM of Springfield, Manitoba. The property is located just North of the town of Anola, Manitoba.
RCMP Investigators located 44 marijuana plants at the residence and a variety of cultivation equipment.
The marijuana plants have an estimated value of $44,000.
Two residents of the property, a 45-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and cultivation of marijuana.
Both have been released on court documents and are scheduled to appear in Beausejour Provincial court at a future date.
Police continue to investigate.
