Vehicle rollover results in serious injuries
On May 27th at 10:00 a.m., Arborg RCMP were informed of a single vehicle rollover collision on Highway 8 approximately 20 kms northeast of Riverton, MB near the entrance to Hecla Provincial Park.
A passerby came upon the overturned vehicle which was partially submerged in a water filled ditch. The female driver, a 23 year old Winnipeg resident was the sole occupant of the vehicle. She was transported to Arborg Hospital and then on to the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg in critical condition with life threatening injuries.

The driver succumbed to her injuries and passed away at Health Sciences Center at 7:45 p.m. on May 27th, 2009. The name of the driver is not being released pending the notification of next of kin.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
