$14.1-million Ste. Anne Hospital expansion, renovation announced
The town of Ste. Anne and communities in the surrounding area will soon benefit from a multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation to the Ste. Anne hospital.
Last chance to be counted
With the 2011 Census upon us, the City of Steinbach and the municipalities of La Broquerie, Ste. Anne, and Hanover strongly encourage all households to participate as the census numbers determine the amount of provincial and federal funding communities will receive.
Steinbach RCMP and Ste. Anne PD combine resources
The Steinbach RCMP and the Ste. Anne Police Department have wrapped up a second joint force project that concentrated on several criminal matters in the Steinbach and surrounding communities.
Census participation encouraged
Although the 2011 Census date is still a couple months away, the City of Steinbach and the municipalities of La Broquerie, Ste. Anne and Hanover are already working together to promote participation in the Census.
Two injured after car collides with dirt bike
At approximately 2:30am on September 5, 2010, Steinbach RCMP and Ste. Anne Police Service attended to a motor vehicle accident on provincial road 207, one mile west of Ste. Anne.
Semi collides with pick-up near Lilac Resort
On August 12, 2010, at about 12:30am, Steinbach RCMP were informed of a two vehicle collision on Highway 1 near Lilac Resort involving a semi-trailer and a pick-up truck.
David Iftody Memorial Scholarship award presented
The David Iftody Memorial Scholarship has been formally presented to this year’s recipients, Keanan Byggdin of Niverville and Mathieu Durand of Ste. Anne.
Missing: Nathan Penner
On June 7, 2010, at about 10pm, Steinbach RCMP were informed that 12-year-old Nathan Penner had gone missing from his residence in the RM of Ste. Anne at approximately 6pm.
Steinbach RCMP looking for copper thieves
On May 19, 2010, members of the Steinbach Detachment responded to a report of a break and enter at the Thornberry Gravel Pit in the RM of Ste. Anne.
Ste. Anne human remains identified as male
Steinbach RCMP report that the human remains located in the RM of Ste. Anne last week, have been identified as belonging to a male.
