After arriving in Italy to meet the team for the first time and get properly fitted into the race car, we all jumped onto an airplane and headed to Spain for the first official preseason tests of the year.
Since becoming a fan of Formula 1 back around the year 2000, I have fallen in love with all of the race circuits on the F1 calendar.
This season of racing has been very challenging but also extremely exciting with a lot of new adventures along the way.
Last year was absolutely amazing. Being able to live one of my biggest dreams of driving a race car through the streets of Monte Carlo at the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix weekend is something I will never forget.
In my last blog we looked at how a typical race weekend progresses, but what about the preparation and all the race gear I need to have ready to go.

I just arrived back home to Manitoba after completing the first 3 races of the 2016 season which began at Motorland close to the city of Alcaniz in Spain.
Even though the snow is still flying in Manitoba, the 2016 race season is now already upon us. In fact, at Richert Racing preparation for our 2016 season began the moment that the checkered flag fell on the 2015 season.
The 2015 race season has now drawn to a close and work is already well underway towards plans for 2016.
The race season is now well underway and race events have taken us from Italy, to the UK, to Germany, Austria, Belgium, Poland and most recently into Holland.
