Steinbach Community Compost Depots

Bring your leaves, grass, and other garden clippings to Steinbach’s Community Compost Depots, open every Saturday, 9 am-3 pm, from May 6 until October 14, 2023. The depots are located at:

  • Woodlawn School yard (411 Henry St)
  • Stonybrook Middle School (77 Lumber Ave)
  • NEW in 2023: Smith Neufeld Jodoin Law Office (85 Provincial Trunk Hwy 12)

What to compost: Vegetables & fruit (fresh, cooked, canned), Coffee grounds / Filters, Tea leaves / bags, Egg shells, Bread, Plain rice / Plain pasta, Garden waste, Weeds without seeds, Grass clippings, Leaves

Do not compost: Meat / Fish / Bones, Eggs / Dairy Products, Oily foods / Sauces, Pet waste, Diseased plants, Metals, Synthetic materials, Plastic / Petroleum products
