On September 14, 2016, two members of the Steinbach RCMP conducted traffic enforcement in school zones located in Mitchell, Blumenort, La Broquerie and Steinbach, Manitoba.
Police say that officers patrolled local school zones in the four communities, ensuring motorists paid attention to the speed zones and were aware of their surroundings.
RCMP report that as a result of this exercise, 29 offence notices were issued for speeding and distracted driving. One offender was charged for driving with no licence and driving an unregistered vehicle.
