Since the early morning hours of June 3, 2012, Gimli RCMP Detachment responded to a total of six business break-ins including two attempted break-ins in the town of Winnipeg Beach.

RCMP report that businesses that were broken into include a local coffee shop, restaurant, jewellery store and an art gallery. Attempts to break-in were made at a grocery store and an ice cream parlor. Initial investigation shows that the culprit(s) forced their way in to the premises and appeared to be looking for cash.

No arrests have been made as of yet.
