RCMP respond to house fires

On June 23, 2012, at about 4am, Selkirk RCMP and local emergency services were dispatched to residential fire on Brokenhead First Nation.

Upon arrival, police discovered two homes in flames. The first home was a local residence, the second home was still under construction.

Police say that there was no one in either home at the time and there were no injuries.

RCMP report that both homes were a total loss with damage estimates to be around $300,000.

The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner attended to assist with the investigation. The cause of the fires is still under investigation.
