On September 28, 2014, at approximately 2am, The Pas RCMP received a report of a fire at the Mary Duncan School located in The Pas, Manitoba. RCMP and local fire department attended the scene.
Police say that a large amount of smoke could be seen inside the school. RCMP report that the fire department was able to contain and extinguish the fire. The school suffered extensive damage and no injured were reported.
At this point, the fire is not considered suspicious. The Office of the Fire Commissioner attended the scene and is assisting in the ongoing RCMP investigation.
