Man assaulted with baseball bat in Steinbach
On May 27, 2009 Steinbach RCMP were informed that a man was currently in Bethesda Hospital after being assaulted inside his home on Chapel Drive in Steinbach, Manitoba with a baseball bat.
Investigation reveals that at approximately 5:30 a.m. on May 24, 2009 two males broke into a residence where the victim was sleeping and assaulted him with a baseball bat. The victim was admitted to the Steinbach Bethesda Hospital suffering from head trauma and a broken arm as result of the assault. The victim was released from hospital on May 28, 2009.
20 year old Kelsey Baerg and 33 year old Brad Stadnyk have been arrested and charged for aggravated assault and numerous breach related offences on May 28, 2009. Both men have been remanded into custody as they were both out on bail at the time of offence.
The investigation continues.
