On August 31, 2015, at approximately 4:45pm, officers from Swan River RCMP were called to a collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Main Street in Swan River.

Officers and emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist seriously injured. The driver of the pickup truck was located at the scene.

Police say that the victim, a 30-year-old man from Prince George BC, was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the truck, a 23-year-old man from Kelowna BC, was uninjured.

RCMP report that alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
