On May 20, 2016, at 6pm, Steinbach RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

Police say that the driver of a motorcycle, a 42-year-old male, was traveling south on Road 42N when he accelerated too quickly while attempting to cross Highway 1. The driver lost control of his bike on the loose gravel and crashed on the westbound lane.

RCMP report that the driver was transported to Ste. Anne Hospital and was later transferred to Winnipeg with non life threatening injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
