Winnipeg woman arrested for impaired driving

On November 14, 2009, at around 4am, Selkirk RCMP received a report of a collision involving a van that hit a truck parked on Taylor Avenue in the City of Selkirk.

The impact of the collision caused the parked truck to be pushed into a neighbouring yard.

RCMP attended the scene and located a woman driving the van. The driver, a 38-year-old woman from Winnipeg, was arrested for impaired driving. During the arrest the woman resisted and assaulted an Officer.

The woman was released from custody and will be facing charges of impaired driving, operating a vehicle with a blood/alcohol content over .08, resisting arrest and assaulting a peace officer. She is scheduled to appear in Selkirk Provincial Court on December 18, 2009.
