Manitoba Health has been issuing regular updates on the novel coronavirus (COVD-19). As of Monday of this week there were no laboratory-confirmed cases in Manitoba and health officials indicated that the risk of the virus remained low in our province.

In addition to practicing common prevention measures for viruses, such as regular hand washing with soap and warm water and covering your mouth and nose when coughing and seizing, Manitoba health has recommended additional precautions for those who have travelled from China’s province of Hubei or the City of Wuhan.

Manitoba Health continue to work with the federal Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization to both monitor the situation and provide public updates on the coronavirus. More information along with additional updates regarding the coronavirus can be found at gov.mb.ca.
