And just like that, September has officially arrived and the summer season has come to an end.
This summer was full of so many great community events. I had the opportunity to participate in both the Landmark Friendship Festival parade and the Richer Roughstock Rodeo parade. Both of these events are wonderful, weekend-long celebrations, full of fun activities for the whole family. I look forward to these events every summer, and I’m so glad I could take part in the festivities once again.
I’d like to thank all of the incredible organizers and volunteers who put their hard work, time, and effort into making these wonderful events possible.
There are some very exciting events coming up that I am looking forward to. Firstly, I will be hosting a couple of constituency barbecues in the coming weeks. More information will be coming regarding the details of the events, so stay tuned for that. I always really enjoy hosting these barbecues because they’re a great way to get out in the community and interact with constituents. I hope you’ll be able to join me for some lunch and a chat!
I am also excited to once again be participating in the Dawson Trail Days parade. I have always really enjoyed taking part in community parades, and this one is no exception. Dawson Trail Days is such a great event full of so many fun activities, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of the festivities again.
As we transition into the fall season throughout the coming weeks, I am looking forward to all of the upcoming fall suppers. Fall suppers have always been one of my favourite events to attend, and not just because of the delicious food. I love seeing how these suppers bring people together and help them connect in a really genuine way that makes them feel like a true community.
September also brings about the start of another school year. I’d like to wish all of the new and returning students good luck with your studies and a great year ahead!

As an Independent MLA, I am still the same person with the same values, goals, and work ethic as I was when you all first elected me. The only difference is that now I do not have any party constraints. I am able to freely work with individuals from all sides of government to ensure that the concerns of Dawson Trail constituents are being addressed. I recognize the importance of my role in speaking out for Dawson Trail residents, and I will continue to advocate for them and ensure that their voices are being heard by our provincial government.
