This weekend is the Kleefeld Honey Festival which is one of the last fairs of the summer in the Steinbach Constituency. Each of the fairs and festivals this summer were seemingly well attended and, by and large, had good weather to go along with the crowds. Most of all, they were very well organized events that show the strength of the volunteers in our communities.
Whether it is organizing parades or community BBQs, the time and effort that it takes to put on these events is not easily seen unless you are directly involved. The volunteers may not always hear it enough, but they are doing more than just putting on a community event, they are helping to build healthy and connected communities. Their efforts help to make our communities attractive places to live and judging by the growth of our region, they are doing a fantastic job!
My wife Kim, son Malachi and I were again able to attend almost all of the local fairs and enjoyed them very much. They each have their own unique characteristics and attractions and we salute the volunteers who made them happen.
