Statistics Canada reported this past week that Manitoba’s inflation rate continues to be the highest in the country. In fact, it is more than double the Canadian average.

The combined impact of the PST hike and other NDP tax increases (such as vehicle registration fees) has given Manitoba the highest inflation rate in the country for several months now. While increasing costs impacts all Manitobans, it particularly impacts those Manitobans who are living on a fixed income or on low incomes.

It’s just another side-effect of higher taxes which are brought on by an NDP government that can’t get its spending under control.
