Provincial Park Entry Free for February

The provincial government is once again offering free park entry for the entire month of February so Manitobans and visitors can enjoy the great outdoors at no cost. As the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active living, I would like to encourage you to get outdoors and enjoy a winter activity.

Winter is a special time to visit our provincial parks and take part in activities or simply enjoy the outdoors in a beautiful snowy setting. As Manitobans, we embrace winter and create some of the most awe-inspiring seasonal experiences.

Whether it is snowmobiling, outdoor skating, hockey, or tobogganing, Manitoba parks across the province offer a wide range of activities each member of the family will enjoy. There are groomed trails in 12 provincial parks across the province for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and hiking.
In addition to free access to provincial parks this month, anglers will not need an angling license to try their luck during this year’s Winter Family Fishing Weekend from Feb. 17 to 19. Anglers will be able to fish without a license province-wide.

I hope you take this opportunity to create memories with family and friends while exploring Manitoba’s endless winter adventures.
