View From the Legislature

On Thursday of last week, Chief Justice Richard Chartier was presented with the first poppy of this year’s annual poppy fundraising drive. The poppy campaign, which is organized by local legions, raises funds that are used to improve life for people in the communities where the money is raised.

The wearing of the poppy honours the more than 117,000 Canadians who have died in service of their country throughout the world.
